Story
By Virtue is an inspirational jewellery brand created by myself Beverley Jarrett to be worn as an extension of who you are, a statement of your faith and the core values that you embrace, with pieces that are in essence symbolic and meaningful - jewellery with purpose.
I design jewellery for women who convey understated beauty, prefer quality over quantity and wear jewellery because it’s an heirloom or a treasure rather than a fad, for 'Originals like you.'

Who am I?
Born in Bethnal Green, East London I always had a passion for creating things but had no idea what my God given purpose was. I originally explored Silversmithing & Jewellery in the early 90’s but decided to ‘pursue a proper job’. Unsatisfied with the convential 9-5, I felt a pull towards jewellery again and was convinced that this time it was meant to be. So I sharpened my skills in 2004 and made jewellery for family and friends while staying at home and raising my children. I did however experience the all too common feelings of fear, doubt and insecurities but found the courage to set up my own business.
After 5 years of building my jewellery brand I felt passionate about taking the craft that I love in a new direction and using my creativity to help make a positive statement and ‘By Virtue’ was created.
The Process
Each piece is lovingly and carefully made in my studio using sterling silver or 18kt gold plated sterling silver where I often take one form of inspiration and allow it to evolve naturally into many different designs throughout my collections. My ethos is to make jewellery that will truly inspire the wearer and to be as unique as the person wearing it.
